ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

FOR ALL PROGRAMS

IN HOSPITALITY, FOOD & BEVERAGE, TOURISM, SERVICE

  • Completion of high school or minimum 18 years of age

  • English Language proficiency *
     

International students must demonstrate English language proficiency * in one of the following ways:

  1. Placement at level 3B (upper intermediate or higher) on the inlingua placement test (online or paper based) and on a video or in-person interview

  2. Successful completion of inlingua Level 3A (upper intermediate)

  3. IELTS 4.5

  4. TOEFL iBT 50

  • To reach the required English Language proficiency to enter a program, a certain number of weeks of English language studies may be recommended before starting the program.

  • If you do not currently meet the language requirements, please let us know. Our English language programs available at inlingua Vancouver can help prepare you for entry into one of our career programs.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Students are required to bring their own laptop for hospitality programs. Most of the program courses are in e-book format.

  • Students must be covered by Health Insurance. Health coverage is mandatory for all students. All students must show proof of valid medical insurance for their entire term of study. Student Visa students, if eligible, can opt to register in a provincial medical plan. Any waiting period needs to be covered by alternative health insurance. 

  • Applicants must read and accept all school policies.

APPLICATION PROCESS
 

1. Submit the following documents:

  • Application form (Hospitality or Business Communication) 

  • High School Diploma

  • Copy of passport

  • inlingua Online Placement test or an English proficiency test result

2. Skype interview:

After receiving the required documentation, we will schedule a Skype Interview to make a final assessment of your English level and determine if the program is right for you.

 

3. Conditional letter of Offer or invoice:

If you are accepted to the program after the interview, you will receive a Conditional letter of Offer or invoice.
 

4. Payment:

You must make a tuition deposit.

 

5. You will receive a Letter of Acceptance.

 

6. You will apply for a study permit.
